I SUPPORT JOHN MCCAIN FOR PRESIDENT IN 2008:

Why?
Experience -
Graduate from the US Naval Academy, Annapolis
Decorated war hero and POW. He knows what it is like to be a true veteran of combat, and no one respects soldiers, sailors, and airmen as much as a real war hero.
US Senator with experience as a party leader, committee chairman, and expert on foriegn policy.
Honesty -
Sen. McCain is the only candidate who is honest about his feelings about Iraq. He knows the consequences of losing, and unfailingly backs the war. He admitted mistakes were made, but is not a coward pressing for surrender and withdrawl. In contrast to his rivals, he supports this unpopular war because he knows it can be won and because he believes in the cause. His rivals are political wafflers who only vote and speak according to the dictates of the political winds.
Well Rounded -
Sen McCain is well rounded in knowledge and experience. He has been a war hero, military officer, junior and senior senator, committee leader, and former presidential candidate. Sen McCain has a strong grasp of all the issues in American interest, not just some. When compared to Barak Obama, Sen McCain outshines him in leadership, experience, and political honesty. Sen Obama has never led anything other than a legislative office. Against Hillary Clinton, Sen McCain stands for all that she is against. Hillary is known to be anti-military. She is power hungry and difficult to work for, as well as with. Her experience is limited to business, 8 years as 1st Lady, and finally an opportunistic power grabbing senator from New York, though she lived in Arkansas for most of her political life. Rudy Guiliani, a Republican contender, has much leadership experience, however his social causes are antithesis to the Republican party.

This is just a quick synopsis of my reasons for supporting Senator McCain. Please vote your conscience, and do not allow political rhetoric about Iraq to lead you too far when choosing a presidential candidate. Remember, the president is not only the president of the Iraq war, but the president for all policy, domestic and foriegn.
